Feeding the Hungry during the Pandemic (2021)
| One of the Vasudevananda Charitable Organization Inc’s (VCOI) objectives is to provide an environment for individual spiritual upliftment to the devotees by engaging in charitable activities. Anna Daana (serving food) is one of the service activities that we know our beloved Amma encourages all of us to involve in.
For the last few years, Bay Area, California VCOI Service Group is actively engaged in offering food and other services regularly at Shepherd Gate in Livermore, California, Modesto shelter, and LifeMoves shelter in San Jose. With Amma’s grace, the Bay Area, California VCOI service group members continue to engage in the Anna Daana (serving food) program even during the pandemic. |

With Amma’s grace, during this calendar year, we participated in 13 food drives and served 2975 lunch packs, along with 100 pairs of jeans and 100 T-shirts.
33 families, spent countless hours to prepare, transport, and distribute these lunch packs.
Kudos to the following families for dedicating their time and effort to make a change in our community. |

August 28, 2021On the occation of Sree Sita Mahayogini’s 100th birthday, VCOI did a special food and clothes distribution on Saturday August 28th to the unhoused people in Santa Cruz. With Amma’s grace, VCOI distributed 300 home made lunch boxes consisting of Jeera rice with Chole curry. |
